It's a funny feeling when you win something because your body goes in a state of disbelief and you replay the event in your mind over and over until it sinks in. That is the way I felt when I read I was selected to have my image of the Assateaque Horses displayed at the National Geographic Museum.
I'm going to quote Oprah Winfrey now : "There is no such thing as luck. There is just preparedness meets opportunity.
That is one of my favorite saying and I feel like all the hours I've spent with my camera learning my craft has lead me up to this amazing opportunity.
My image will be part of a FotoWeekDC event at the The National Geographic Museum from Nov 1 - 10 th.
Come mingle with celebrities, (I have no idea who it would be maybe Oprah!) photographers, curators and photo enthusiasts as we celebrate our Sixth Annual Festival Launch Party. Reception includes outdoor shows, museum exhibits, projections, open bar, lite-bites.
